About Mel England – Professional Makeup Artist based in Harrogate

Helping Women Feel Confident, Beautiful & Authentically Themselves

I‘ve always believed that makeup isn’t about hiding — it’s about revealing the best version of you.

Whether you’re walking down the aisle, stepping into a new phase of life, or simply want to feel better in your own skin, I’m here to help you feel confident and radiant at any age.

My Story

Born and raised in Yorkshire, I moved to London at 16 and later returned to Harrogate to raise my family. I now live here with my husband Nick and our two beautiful daughters, Lili and Jasmine.

Makeup has been my passion for as long as I can remember — not just the artistry, but the transformation. Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of women rediscover themselves through makeup, whether it’s for weddings, photo shoots, personal milestones, or simply a confidence boost.

My Work & Recognition

I specialise in bridal makeup, private makeup lessons (in-person and online). I’m trained in colour analysis and love helping women discover what truly flatters their unique features.

My Philosophy

Like many women, I’ve experienced the ups and downs of self-image. I know what it feels like to lose confidence — and what a difference it makes when you feel seen, beautiful, and at ease in your own skin.

That’s why my approach is always friendly, caring, and unintimidating. Whether you’re 17 or 70, makeup should feel empowering — not overwhelming.

If you’re ready to feel confident, expressive and proud of how you look — I’d love to work with you.
