A makeup lesson is a practical session tailored to your skin, features and confidence. You don’t need experience—or a perfect makeup collection. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refreshing a familiar routine, we’ll work at your pace.
Lessons take place at my home in Harrogate. If you would prefer advice from home, online makeup consultations are also available.
Before you come
Come wearing your usual makeup so I can see what you already do. Bring the makeup and brushes you use, if you have them. We’ll look through them together to see what works for you and where a change might help. There’s no need to buy anything beforehand.
Think about anything you’d like help with: a quicker everyday routine, foundation that sits better, defining your eyes, or choosing colours you feel comfortable wearing.
We start with you
We’ll talk about your routine, what feels tricky and the look you’d like to achieve. You can ask questions throughout, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
You learn by doing
I’ll demonstrate techniques and help you practise them yourself. Depending on your chosen lesson, we’ll cover complexion, eyes and lips, including colour choices, application and making your makeup last.
We can adapt your routine for changing skin or hooded eyes, or keep things simple with an everyday look. If your old routine no longer feels right, my mature makeup lessons focus on the face and skin you have today.
Independent advice, without pressure
We’ll make use of what you already own and recommend products that suit you and your budget. I’m not affiliated with makeup brands and don’t earn commission on product recommendations, so my advice is independent and focused on you.

Your personalised makeup report includes notes on the techniques we covered, links to recommended products and tools, and reminders to help you recreate your look at home.
