Everyone feels better with a little bit of colour to their cheeks, but how to use bronzer without looking too brown or orange?
Think about your skin tone. If you are very pale you will need to choose a bronzer that isn’t too warm or dark. There are some pretty bad bronzers out there which may have made you afraid to attempt a tastefully bronzed summer look. But with some help from me to guide you, I hope you’ll give it a try…
Where to bronze?
Use a soft brush and gently sweep your bronzer over the cheekbones, temples, jawline and forehead.
My favourite bronzing products:
Ariane Poole’s Blush+Bronzer Duo – Afternoon Delight. This colour is perfect for paler skin tones and is a beautiful texture which glides onto the skin. It is a clever multi-tasking product with a soft pale nude highlighter and bronzer, that allow you to sculpt, contour, highlight and blush with luxurious, sheer colour and a satin finish.
Ariane Poole’s Baked Bronzer – Fiji. If you love a sun kissed look you’ll love this product! Create a bronze illuminating glow on the cheeks and décolleté. Luxurious satin smooth texture imparts a radiant finish. Silky formula applies effortlessly.

Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate – Intensity One. This is a cream bronzer and highlighter duo. The texture is super sheer , silky and lightweight and adds a beautiful glow to the skin – especially good for dry skin types.
