Does this sound familiar?

Has your usual makeup
stopped working for you?

Your skin has changed

Your foundation feels heavier, your skin looks drier or the finish isn’t what it used to be. We can review your skin preparation, coverage and application.

You’re unsure about eyes

Hooded eyes, changing brows or uncertainty about colour can make eye makeup feel difficult. I’ll show you techniques that work with your features.

You’re overwhelmed by products

A full makeup bag doesn’t always make things easier. We’ll look at what suits you, what you can keep using and where a different product might help.

A lesson, not just a makeover

Watch, practise.
Learn to do it yourself.

You don’t need to be skilled at makeup to come. Bring your questions and your usual makeup bag; there’s no judgement about how much you own or how long you’ve had it.

We’ll work through complexion, eyes and lips at the pace of your chosen lesson. I can demonstrate on one side while you practise on the other, with guidance as you go.

You’ll receive personalised notes and product links afterwards, so you have something to refer to at home.

How clients describe it

Reassurance.
Then confidence.

“Having recently turned 60, I have felt for some time that my old make up routine was just not cutting it any more. … she was so lovely and welcoming and I instantly felt at ease. … She did half of my face and I copied on the other side.”

Before you book

A few useful answers.

Is it too late to learn if I’m in my 50s, 60s or older?

No. The lesson starts with your experience and what you want to learn, whether you’re a beginner or refreshing a routine you’ve used for years.

Can you help with hooded eyes and changing skin?

Yes. We’ll adapt makeup colours, textures and application to your features and preferences, including eye makeup for hooded eyes and a base that feels comfortable.

Should I bring my own makeup?

Bring what you normally use, even if you’re unsure about it. I can help you identify what suits you and show you how to use it. If you’re starting from scratch, let me know when booking.

Will I need to buy a whole new makeup collection?

No. There’s no obligation to buy products. We’ll review what you own and I’ll explain any recommendations, taking your budget into account.

Where do lessons take place?

At my home studio in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, by appointment. There’s unrestricted on-street parking and it’s around a ten-minute walk from the town centre and station. Your studio address is shared when you book.

Can I have an online lesson or give a lesson as a gift?

Yes. Online lessons are available across the UK. You can also give a lesson with a personalised, emailed PDF gift voucher.
